Our Team
Catherine Agar
Catherine Agar has been in the land development industry for over 24 years. She has a proven track record for collaboratively working with multidisciplinary teams to deliver successful outcomes within a diverse range of land development projects, including residential, industrial, brownfield and commercial projects. Catherine has successfully secured land use approvals for over 5,000 acres, with projects ranging from 3 to 1,600 acres in size. She has managed and collaborated on initiatives with combined annual budgets exceeding $60 million. Having worked on projects from inception to completion allows Catherine to deliver successful projects by managing them in a cost effective, time sensitive manner.
A dedicated advocate for the industry, Catherine has been an active volunteer with the BILD Calgary Region and currently serves as Chair. She also serves as a member of the Board of Directors for BILD Alberta and the Canadian Home Builders’ Association (CHBA).
Catherine Agar holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Alberta, a Masters in Regional Planning from the State University of New York, Albany and a Masters of Science in Civil Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York.
Deanna Romney
Deanna Romney brings over 15 years of experience in the land development and real estate sectors, demonstrating a keen ability to lead and execute complex projects across a diverse range of disciplines, including land development, sales, funding programs, and strategic business planning. She has successfully overseen multifaceted initiatives, from large-scale land sale strategies and asset-class specific developments to progressive sustainable development projects, all while navigating evolving market dynamics and aligning with organizational objectives.
Deanna excels at building strong partnerships and leading innovative strategies that drive project success. She balances stakeholder interests, manages risk, and delivers value with results-driven solutions.
Beyond her professional achievements, Deanna has served on the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity Southern Alberta and has been a long-standing member of CREW Calgary of which she is currently in the role of co-chair of Membership Committee.
Deanna holds a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies from the University of Calgary and is a LEED AP Neighborhood Development Professional.
